As an educator, I believe a vital ingredient of developing the whole child includes helping them grow in faith. I am honored and humbled to serve as the middle school English and Literature teacher, as well as the Exploratory Theater teacher, at St. John the Baptist Catholic School. I come to this role not only as a teacher, but as a husband, father, coach, musician, and community member. Each part of my life shapes how I connect with students and support their growth. Whether I’m teaching, contributing to my family, coaching, performing, or being active in the community, I see each moment as an opportunity to lift others up and walk with them in faith. I strive to create a classroom where every student feels welcomed, valued, and seen. Through service learning, students will grow in self-reflection, active listening, and problem-solving so they can be a light for others in our diverse world. Through the lens of Catholic Social Teaching, they’ll engage critically with texts and develop their own unique voice to share with the world. It is a tremendous responsibility to support students not just academically, but spiritually. I take that on with humility, growing and learning in faith alongside them.
