Mass is the highest form of prayer and offering Masses for others, living or deceased, is a long-standing tradition in the Catholic Church. When we face the death of someone, even a person who is not Catholic, to have a Mass offered for the repose of their soul and to offer our prayers is beneficial and comforting.

Mass intentions are offered for an individual, a married couple or a family. i.e. “Deceased members of the Baptist family.” In an effort to accommodate as many requests as possible, we ask that only five intentions are scheduled in a 12-month period. The requested donation is $20 per intention.

Mass intentions at St. John the Baptist are scheduled on an ongoing basis up to one year in advance.
